The Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) President and Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) Director General Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane, with the goal of strengthening linkages with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) agencies in CPSC member countries, met Mr. Mahzan bin Teh, Director, Technical Vocational Education Division of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Malaysia and other officials. The meeting was held in MARA Japan Industrial Institute at Beranang, Selangor, Malaysia on March 4, 2019.
MARA is a TVET agency under the Ministry of Rural Development established in1966 and currently has a total of 343 education centers in Malaysia.

A presentation about MARA was shown, whereby the MARA Director discussed the organization of MARA, education system, and framework. The APACC President shared background information about CPSC and APACC including number of accredited institutions, performance per criterion of accredited institutions, updates on APACC Instrument, and future activities.
A tour of MJII facilities including the Innovation Gallery, APACC Room, Center of Excellence, some laboratories and workshops, was also facilitated to showcase the expertise of MJII.
During the half-day meeting, awarding of APACC plaque and certificates to newly accredited institutions of MARA was held. Hjh. Zarinah binti Idrus, Director of MJII and Mr. Mohd Hazlen bin Ramli, Deputy Director of Academic carry duty as Director of KKTM Kuantan received the Gold Level Awards valid for four years, on behalf of their institutions.
